There is no intercooler on right now due to the lack of time to get it all put on and running in 2.5 days. A kit with A/C could still be made, but it'd take a lot more work.
Total price for this kit:
New Master Power T-70 Turbo - $680
Used 42lb Injectors - $225
Used MAF - $130
Wastegate - $140 but going to get a nice TIAL soon
Used Shorty Headers - $100
V-Band Flange - $45
3 Bolt Flanges - around $30
Intercooler (not on yet) - $225
Misc. Pipes/U-Bends -
That's a bargain price for the cool factor and power gains you're getting. you've listed $1575 worth of parts (+the pipes and U-bends), that is WAY less than a production kit, and you get to say you fabricated it yourself! The more of these DIY turbo kits I see, the more I lean toward goin turbo rather than supercharged.
Well I guess today I'll find out what boost feels like if thoes plugs fix my problem, if not do you think I could borrow that coil out Mike so I can see if thats what I need? This thing made 10psi at just over 3000rpm when it did... Cant wait for a nice pull down a back street
Zach! Just chimed in.....man I wanna see a vid...and that's cheap enough that it makes me wanna try it.....good luck...watch your neck when the boost kicks in
i bet if you (and when i say you i mean people in general) got a used turbo, u could probably do this entire project for a grand......i think that's pretty badass.....i do have one question tho...i have been reading up on turbos and turbo setups lately, and i keep reading how hard it is to tune.......can anyone explain to me better what else need tuning besides a/f ratio???....if i can make some money this summer, than maybe over next winter, i'll do one of these setups
