Twin Turbo Fox

Say on a stock engine with a twin t3 setup that was running mild boost and was tuned, how much maitenance would the car need if the turbos were rebuilt and everything? I'm asking because this is going to be my daily driver and im not sure whether or not to go supercharged because it seems like installing and maintaining a supercharger is alot easier than the turbos. How often do the turbos need a rebuild say if i was just using the car for daily driving on mild boost and once in awhile i cranked it up? i really want to go turbo but considering i dont know how to rebuild them, i dont know if its worth it or not. let me know :nice:

I have a turbo in my PT Cruiser (wifes car) very maintenance free. No oil to change or worry about no belts no drive. The pain is in the install and turbo's now can be very longed lived say 100,ooo miles on the road at moderate boost which today is like 12 psi!! Get it intercooled pay the higher initial cost and higher install cost and it will be almost trouble free for a long time.

Turbochargers can easily outlast the life of the vehicle. However, if you abuse the turbo by running it hard, and then turning off the engine, you literaly cook the oil inside of it, and gum the thing up. They can also be suseptable to poor oil change intervals, but so is everything else inside the engine. :nice:
