I'm new here and thought I'd break the ice with this:

I just bought a set of ASP aluminum pulleys for my '86 5.0 'Stang...
-do I need to use an impact wrench to remove/ install the alt. pulley?
-I don't have a high power sound system, but I do have an electric radiator fan... do I need to be concerned about battery discharge at idle?
-are ASP pulleys as high quality as March or BBK?
-do I need to know anything else or is this really as simple as it looks?

First you will most likely need to use impact to get the alt. pulley swapped. As for the battery charging if you have a 3g 130 amp alt. you'll be fine. As far as quality, I've only used ASP's so I have no experience with the others. Lastly, you may need a shorter belt.

You should have a 3G alt conversion with an electric fan anyways....that is mandatory from what I hear around town. If you have that with an U/D alt pulley, I would think you will have no power.
