OK, heres the thing. I want to upgrade my front rotors and calibers with one of the 13" cobra kits. Only thing is I dont want the plain rotors, I want cross drilled/slotted (for looks)so I want to make a kit myself. Would this work for my car (2001 GT). All ford racing parts.

FMS-M-1125-C - 13" Cobra rotors

FMS-M-2320-C - Cobra Calibers

FMS-M-2321-A - hardware for calibers.

I also wanted to get stainless steel brake lines. Would I get ones for a Cobra, or for a GT. I assume a Cobra since it all would be cobra stuff, but I dont know. And would there be anything else I would need. Also I threw in some pics too. Thanks guys.

you are missing the caliper relocation brackets. bigger rotor diameter requires the caliper to be moved outward more.

zinc coated brembo's are like 170ish for just the fronts slotted/drilled, you can get a set of front and rears off ebay for 260 shipped. i had them on my fox body with 5-lug. nice set of rotors.

I think the brackets come with the calibers, atleast thats what is says. So I should be good(maybe consider another type rotor)

I haven't heard too many good things about those rotors. Rusting is the major complainant.

Which ones wont rust. Is that the zinc coating?

I have those rotors and they rust like crazy!!!!! Also the Cobra front calipers come as an entire assembly with brackets so your good.
I'm going to get the baer eradispeed 2 piece rotors next. They are black in the middle and look great.

Yeah, I think I will consider the Brembos or the Eradispeed. One last question. I would order rotors for a Cobra right, to go with the calibers. or do I still order for a GT.

Heres the 2 piece Eradispeed Rotors...Pretty aren't they :D

only need the brackets when upgrading the rear rotors. you dont need 'em for the front. the 13" rotors and calipers just bolt right up, no sweat

Bakos, its caliper man, not caliber. you arent buying a gun :D

i wasnt aware the brackets came with the calipers.

however, how dont you need the brackets for the front when upgrading? (assuming your thinking the calipers dont include them). the caliper must be moved outward to accomodate for the larger rotor.

sounds like you have it all covered now though.

Look at the picture the original poster put up. The bracket is the part with the holes showing below the caliper, and is part of the caliper package. As long as you buy a "Cobra, Bullit, Mach 1" caliper it's already spaced out farther to fit the 13" rotor.

The slotted rotors don't warp as easy. I would say they don't warp but as soon as I do someone will post pictures of a warped pair. I put them on my Jeep and I think it cut the stopping distance down by 10 feet. I was considering doing this same thing, because you can buy the rotors and pads from SS Brakes for $375, and they make some pretty good stuff. It's a shame no one offers a kit with their pads and rotors because I'd buy it ASAP. As for the lines, what I've learned thus far is that the lines are the same length but the stock GT lines will not fit the Cobra/Bullitt calipers. I think line in to the caliper is bigger on the upgraded calipers. I could be wrong, but I think that is right.

see them now, didnt look that closely.

i pieced my cobra brakes together on my fox. so my brackets were seperate from the calipers when i did it.

i've got the zinc washed cross drilled / slotted rotors from stangsuspension.com and have had no problems at all with even a hint of rust. they look as good as the day they were put on.

That's the cropped image from the day I had them put on.. Looks the same today.
