If this V3 is a self lubricated unit which contains its own oil, what it the braided hose for? I'm guessing to aid in draining for oil changes?

Even though I'm waiting on parts there's been lots of work to do. I'm putting everything I have together and checking for fitment and whatnot. I've had to re-route wiring harnesses for the air cleaner assembly, notch the AC bracket, etc. The radiator hose is gonna be a tight fit at the rad end and I will have to nudge the fuel lines around some as well as re-locate my fan control box. It's coming along. You know the story....problem > solution... repeat....

The snout for the upper hose mount on the rad is 2 1/4" long. Unfortunately I might have to trim it down. I don't want to loose the flared part but I may have no choice. If I do I'll leave plenty of tube to double clamp it. I run a depressurized cooling system anyway so it wont blow off the connection since my cooling system pressure stays low.

You could order couplers and piping for it instead of a hose. They are rated for coolant and heat.

But I'd still have to clamp to the rad right? The V3 kit comes with a custom tube. The have you cut 90's from your original upper hose to couple the tube to the rad and tstat housing. Because of the extra thick rad I have, the connection at the front is really close to the SC pulley. I'll make it work, one way or another.

The braided hose routes to the bottom of the car so that you can drain the oil for oil changes without making a mess

come to think of it, I vaguely remember welding on a radiator similar to this to turn the upper radiator connection. It looks as if you cut it you'll have enough room or have someone weld an aluminum 90 on that sucker to turn it ?
That is a big honkin radiator!

I had my hose connection cut off and bigger diameter one welded on (aluminum rad). so the bigger coyote hose would fit. sure you could do same for shorter.

Pretty much everything has be adapted for fitment of all parts. Nothing much more to do than wait for the parts that are on order. If I had all the parts I'd be turning the key about now. Could be a couple of weeks on the pulley. I'll post back when this projects gets rolling again. Thanks again to everyone for contributing and helping in this thread.

My upper intake gasket came off in fantastic shape. Is it okay to reuse this in a supercharged application?

Upper to lower intake gasket? not a problem as long as it;s not torn or compressed so much it doesn't seal.

If in doubt apply a coat of high tack gasket sealant to both sides, it will never leak and the gasket remains reusable. Love the stuff

I've used High Tack too. I also like Copper Coat.
