Vapor Recovery canister..

So that black plastic canister that is on the passenger side in the engine bay.. Do i need it? there are 2 lines running to it, one line goes to the old mustang pcv valve, and the other goes off into the fender. there is also a little gold vac seliniod their too. The Turbo coupe PCV doesnt use that vac line, so i am deleteing it, do i still need that canister or can i dump it? Anyone ever removed theirs? I would like to side mount an intercooler in its place, at least until i find me a nice front mount radiator combo.

Ditch it, remove the one line, stuff the other line into the fender...don't plug the lines. One is a vent for the gas tank.

Am i to assume then that the Vac feed for the system is the PCV valve then and just leave both hoses open to the air? Sidemount IC.. here i come! (I know, i know.. but its better then no IC)
