The only flamer here seems to be you. You're the one keeps attacking the advice and recommendations others give. There are many other quality choices other than the expensive parts you choose, which have been clearly proven by others to be the same "junk"(in your words) made overseas that we may be buying. And this is a car forum, what bearing does your gun collection have to do with anything here ? And I'm pleased as hell you don't live in my neighborhood.Keep on, I can flame with the best of em.
YOU are the one who made it personal with your 'cave' statement, anything I post on here is from 1st hand experience, not some benching racing session or urban legend or some article written by a journalist who has never built an engine or tuned a carb or power shifted a true 4 speed car at the strip. The gun statement was to show that NOT everything is made is commieville. I WILL NOT KNOWINGLY buy anything from the RED CHINESE. PERIOD. If this means I pay a few dollars more, so be it. If people who have lost a good manufactring job had paid a couple of dollars more years ago they wouldn't be working as stock boys at Wally-World now and getting screwed by the richest family in the histroy of the world. (total net in excess ot $100,000,000,000.00) They don't need my money.
I will go to my grave buying USA UNION MADE when I can. My wife will tell you I have walked out of clothing stores because I will not buy Chinese/Oriental made clothes.
If you, in your contorted logic think that makes me a cave dweller, so be it.
Keep on, I can flame with the best of em.
As for your 1st hand experience, that I doubt based on your postings. Like the one in the Cleveland thread where you said that Boss 302 heads were different than Cleveland heads cause one had poly-angle chambers and the other were pent roof...................

Getting back to the original post. When I put a Versailles rear in my 65 fastback, the hole on the spring perch that goes over the top of the bolt in the spring, was too large, and the perch was on the wrong angle, so I cut them off and replaced them. Just something to look out for.
