Vortech on pi Swapped 2v

I've got the car in pieces and am just waiting 'till tomorow to complete the install on a s trim on the gt. Was wondering what you guys thought about how a pi swapped 96 2v will hold up under minimal boost with a stock bottom end. I'll have FMU, Pump, AFPR but no spark box or injectors. Running a 6-8 pully off of UD pullies to keep the #'s low 'till i can spring for the injectors and internals.

Reason I ask the question is b/c i'll be running it stock chipped 'till a friend of mine gets in obd2 stuff to tune it right.

Any tips on how to prevent my motor from blowing thru the hood?

Keep the boost down and drive slow until you can get a good tune. Your running alot of compression so detonation is going to be a problem. Make sure knows how to tune the car

96 engine with PI heads = more compression that a 99+ engine...get a good tune..
