Vortech S trim oil feed nozzle pic WTF?

I took off my oil feed line and nozzle from my Vortech S trim because of i leak i was having with one of the fittings. I took out the oil feed nozzle to blow the screen filter out with compressed air. I noticed that little screen filter in there has some sort of a wierd coating on it on the flat top part of the filter that you can see. It looks like some wierd metal coating, I tried scraping it to see if it would come off and it wont. Its like the screen melted all together on that flat part and is clogged. Is that screen supposed to be like that, or should it be all mesh see thru and something is wrong with mine? Maybe this is why it was dripping oil from this joint. Here is a pic

Mine had no coating on it, just the wire mesh screen. I pull mine out once a year to clean anything out of it.

Err...that's not good... Hopefully that's not a piece of ring or something LOL Call Vortech and get them to give you a new nozzle. Might wanna call the place you bought the kit from to, sometimes they have specific reps at companies you should talk to and it will go more smoothly that way!
