Okay, This is my first post over at this Forum. I must say that Saturday flat out kicked AZZ. I'm definetly hooked on road racing. This has convinced me to keep the IRS in the Cobra. I will still do drag racing as I still enjoy that, but this is something else. Thank you Allen for some excellent driving instruction. You are a damn good driver. I'm envious! Now look what I have to do. Suspension and brake mods!!! The cage is going in as we speak, so I will be kosher on that front. I just hope that the money doesn't dry up I'M NOT DONE YET!!!

Oh, Ken it was nice meeting you over at Buttonwillow. It was cool to be able to park the Mystichromes next to each other. If you go on that Rosebowl road cruise on the 13th we can do that again!

Randy

Damn Randy welcome!!! I love your car...its amazing what SVT has done to them in the chassis dept...Dean (your chassis engineer) was hanging out with me a nd around on Sunday....he had run the Grand Am race the previous day at California Raceway...took 11th after some contact...wanted to chase him in the orange Ford racing Cobra but he did some offroading in the max motorsports yellow NASA car...then went Karting

We need to see your car at cliffs....we have had to retorque rear suspension after running like that...to dont wait 5k miles..if I get any shots from Mustangs and Fast Fords about your car I'll forward them to you.

They are open on some other aspects in terms of open track clicks ect....so stay tuned, and maybe get published.

Not sure that I can make the thursday pizza night....will try, if I do it will be with Gayle....Cave woman extrodanaire (costume contest sat night)
it is at the same place right????

omg buttonwillow was awesome. slidemaster, alan at barber ford, took me for a few hotlaps in my buddy randy's 04 kenne bell mystichrome. all i can say is wow. we were hauling past lightnings and eaton cobras like they were standing still. the blower whine was amazing. the SVT engineer that was there, head of the engine program for the 07 cobra, was simply amazing. i talked with him for a good 45 minutes about mustangs, and all other cars in general. the event was awesome. forget drag racing, road racing is where its at.

GOTCHA! See?!?! Didn't I warn y'all... that this was going to be the most addictive thing you can do in a car!?! (with your clothes on that is... :D ) Besides... drag racing is for those that can only "keep it up" for 13 second at a time! :p

Thanks to all the students who showed up with open minds and an amazing array of high-performance Ford and SVT products... especially all our "novice / beginner" drivers (we had more than 50 first timers at Buttonwillow on Saturday... AWESOME!)

Also, thanks to all our Western Region folks, event volunters and last, but certainly not least, all our dedicated (and slightly warped) instructors who are a huge part of the success of our SVTOA On Track events!

What a great event... and for those of you who didn't come out... you truly don't know what you are missing...

See you on track... somewhere!

Well my understanding is there are going to be 2 events there, a national and a regional..with our friends at Redlinetrack events....so get your cars ready...

4 Guys with Cobras are discussing going together for more training on the (test and tune) Fridays...so we will make an even better showing next time!!

enjoy
