Hi
Put a vortech on my car this winter, finally got it driveable then the tranny blew 2nd gear a month ago and replaced it with a TKO. New problem went in the drug store and when I left in the stang it was missing?? Watched the engine after dark and there were sparks under the MSD coil. Easy fix right.. After a new coil still there. Well turns out no compression in # 7. :( Still hoping that it is not to serious.. haven't done a leak down yet but probably will this week then pull the head if needed, and take a look:( Seems like I haven't done much driving this year!!

Depressed

Well that suck's...:bang:

There something to be said about staying NA...boost is nice, but damn its a problem child too..:nonono: The learning curve's a mofo !!!!!
Hopefully something minor...Good luck to ya...

:D Broken valve spring :D They missed it on the first look, did a blowdown and found it.

Can you just replace the spring (in pairs I guess) or do you pull the head??

Steve

You don't have to pull the head. Just remove the upper intake and valve cover. It's not hard, just tedious. Oh, and great to hear that that's all your problem. :nice: What springs are you running.

Thanks that was an interesting thread... With my stock block I think my 526 horses is enough for now.

Steve

526 horses ... :hail2:

i have to get mine dyno'ed one of these days; i'd love to know what it makes. i'm sure it is nowhere close to 500, i think i'd be happy if it was even 400

Awesome news glad it wasn't serious, and no you just have to keep air pumped into that cylinder so the valve doesn't drop into the cylinder when you remove the locks, and springs.
