what are some ways to drop weight off the gt and still keep it daily driver. are the rear seats really that much weight? i was thinking new k member/ controll arms, removing rear seats, and new front seats (any suggestions for saving weight and still comfortable? have to be adjustable)

thanks

In a coupe the rear seats weigh near 60lbs I think.

Rear seats: 60lbs
Spare tire/jack: 45lbs
Dogbone: 8lbs
Front seats: 40lbs a piece (replace with lightweight ones)

Then you can do aluminum heads. My iron ones weighed 50lbs a piece, my new TFS ones weigh 30lbs a piece. Doing dumps saves about 20lbs or so. If you're real serious, you can take out the radio and a/c (but you mentioned it being a DD, I wouldn't recommend this). You can remove foglights, EGR, smog pump etc. For better weight transfer, relocate the battery to the trunk. That's all I can think of for now.

Front sway bar is a good 15-20 pounds as well. But u probably wont like the way it handles with it off, so take it off only at the track.

I dont think the rear seats weigh 60#'s. The 35# range seems for reasonable. I never weighed em when i pulled them outa my old car though.

Alum driveshaft is another. Smog pump and lines, offroad x/h pipe is another good one.
