Its actually realyl strange problem, and i cant figure it out. Well, when im driving in any gear but you dont notice it in first though, when i hit the gas harder then a little bit like the rpm's raise but its like the car is'nt catching when the rpm are going up. Its almost like when you are driving and you have your right foot on the gas and the left foot to just push the clutch down. LIke you are accelerating and you just tap the clutch adn the rpms raise and then you'll continue to accelerate. I hope you will understand what i'm talking about.

Thanks in advance.

What would cause this? What would cause a slipping clutch?

basically, if you punch the gas the rpm's rise and then the car would really slowley start to move quicker, and sometimes after a bit the car seemed like it would catch a little bit.

It does it all the time to the point where i cant really move that fast at all. I have to let it gradually go. its really a pain in the ass. my check engine light flashes sometimes so im gonna run the codes today. but this clutch only has like 20,000 miles on it.

The rubbing plates on the
clutch disk are worn down to
a point that it no longer grabs
hard enough.

Caused by age/use or racing.

If you were lucky it could
also be the adjustment is way to tight.....

I wouldn't advise running that or any other aftermarket clutch without getting rid of the old stock plastic quadrant. ESPECIALLY with an aftermarket clutch it starts to deflect and bend easy with just a little extra plate pressure, otherwise the king cobra clutch is a pretty safe bet with your setup.

I run the Heavy Duty clutch kit with stock quadrant and I have no problems, but I live in california where weather does not age parts very fast. You can also adjust the stock setup by pulling up on the clutch pedal and then operate it like normal, it is self adjusting. But it sounds liek you have bigger problems.
