well its time for a rebuild... :( / :)

Yeah, and while Im not condoning it, years ago I had my stang to 6000 rpms in 4th with 3:55's in it. It was 3:00 am on the highway with no one in sight. I just couldnt help myself.

That's almost 130mph. I did that same at 4000 rpm in 5th with 3.45's... scary. But my driving record is clean and no accidents. And, I've only been 115 since and that was to test my 140mph speedo, and no other cars around. I don't think I'll ever break 100mph or even 90 anymore, I value my license too much, my car as well. These days, you're lucky if they don't impound your car when you do 100mph.

I'm sure most you guys have been over 100mph in your stangs, one time or another, I know I have and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I not saying that it's okay to do, but I have done it. What's the purpose of putting mods on your engine, to make it more powerful and fast right? What's the purpose of putting any mods on your car if you only plan to drive under the speed limit all the time. I honestly think that we all stomp on the pedal every now and then just to feel the power our engines make.

The key is respecting your car and the power it makes, that keeps you safe. Ride safe.

agreed

we dont drive hondas

how is 130 scary? i'm not bragging, but i've got at least 120 in the stang since i've owned it, and i've completely maxed out the 5.0 in my lincoln on 2.73's (so we'll assume that i was at about 140 or so)... it's not scary so long as you're not swerving in and out of lanes and just taking it in a straight line.

ugh, everyone's gotta relax. speeding isn't THAT terrible if done when no one else is around and weather permitting.
