I've just about got the 408 together. Everything is speced and clearanced properly. Have 7 pistons in the hole, broke a ring on the eighth (pissed my off i can tell ya). Got the rings in today so should have the bottom end buttoned up tonight or tomorrow. Then just a matter of bolting everything on. Waiting on my intake too, backordered. Here's the goods so far:

DSS Dart 351 Block
Eagle Forged Crank and Rods
SRP Nascar Foirged Pistons
Custom Comp Cam
TFS CNC Ported Highport Race Heads
TFS Box R Intake Manifold
Melling Hiflow Oil Pump
Canton 7 qt pan

She's running 8.85:1 compression right now, waiting to see some serious boost :D . I'm gonna by the YSI trim at the end of Summer or over the Winter for next year. Doubt I'll be able to piece it together this year. Can't wait to see what she'll do. I'm getting excited. Won't be super strong with the low compression but should still put some decent ponies down. I'll get pics when I can. I've been sick as hell this morning. Ate at Rotten Ronnies yesterday and am paying for it today.

With all that motor you should look into a self contained blower like a Pro-charger F-series or start pieceing together a turbo kit now dont get me wrong the ysi is a nice blower but if your buying used you cant beat the prices on NMRA.com...:nice:

I was actually going to go turbo but the car is being built for a lot of bracket racing. In my experience turbo cars are better for heads up classes. They just aren't as consistent. As for the Procharger I have two friends with them and they have had nothing but problems with them. Seals seem to always go. One has had his P1SC in twice to Procharger for overhauls. I've heard good things about the YSI's so I thought I'd go that route. I don't really want to buy used. Thanks for the info though. I'll check out NMRA just for fun.
