Another question. Why you boring the block, that doesn't need a bore fromm the looks of it. Mine almost didn't need one, and it had over 100k miles on it.
Good idea, but my money's on you not needing to. Saving $275-350 is pretty cool too. I wish I didn't have to, but the shortblock i got was free and 4.7 is sorta FTW too.I'm about 90% sure I'm not going to bore it. yup, that was mine. I just had Alex again in my last class. He was trying figure out some problem with his HID's in our Electrical Diagnosis course
Using an inside dia. micrometer? I dunno if you're going to get withing the 1000ths you need to determine that. Most engine builder guys just go over it and can tell the wear.lol I'm almost getting myself to that point.... thanks, I'm gonna check the bore measurements tomorrow
