Well we finally headed up to the track tonight, I only got to run 4 times because of an issue i will get to in a moment. My best was:
14.9 @94mph
60' 2.24
r/t .027

I was just starting to get the feel of it when i went into the return lane and saw my buddy with his hazard lights on ( not a good sign ) he has a '95 cobra btw. his clutch had "broken" it was a center force stage 2 that he had only had for about a month so i spent the rest of the night finding somebody with a truck and towstraps to bring him to the parking lot and then pushing the car to where the tow truck was comming too. All in all im not super happy with the times but i went from a 15.5 to a 14.9 in 4 runs so maybe next weekend i can kick off a couple more tenths

our cars are suppose to run 15.1 quarters , but i guess since this is your first time to the track you have to get your launches down pack. i guess with the add ons you should be able to knock down some more tenths. did you spin alot? i did my first time, hell i didn't even wait for the light to turn yellow, i left on RED . anxious i guess! LOL

first run i spun quite a bit and then i put the tire pressure down to 20psi with a longer burn out, it seemed to help. on my best run though i had some trouble with the 2nd to 3rd (stock shifter )shift so i know i can be a little quicker

Not that bad considering it was your first time at the track. What were you shifting at?

Were you running street tires? You really shouldnt be doing a burnout with street tires. Maybe a dry spin just to get the track rubber off the tires but thats it. Dont go through the water box.

ok if you are not sure of what cam is in a car, how do you go about finding out. Can you pull it and get numbers off of it or anything like that.

Yeah I was going to ask what cam you had too. That might make a difference in the mod your car. If you keep practicing, your times will get better. A 14.9 isn't bad for your first time. What were the track conditions like?

We were at Virginia mototrsports park which is a great track, and it was about 80 degrees when i made the 14.9 pass but it was cooling off quick so i was hopeing to get at least one more run in but shat happens i guess
