As the title says, I went to the track tonight. I havn't been in a while so i figured I'd go and just have some fun and not try and go crazy. Anyways, it was an usually dead night and full of an unusually large number of some hardcore shade tree mechanic jobs and "my import is hot because my exhaust is 6 inches in diameter losers". Not to mention, it was high 80's with an insane amount of humidity and when I got there and they didn't prep the track tonight...again! Anyways, some guy showed up in a brand new black SRT8 Charger. He said he just bought it and drove it right from the dealer to the track. I think the odometer showed like 35 miles. I checked the car out pretty closely. The interior was nice. As far as the body goes, it was bigger than I thought and if i believe they weigh like 4300 lbs, correct me if I am wrong please. The guy finally raced and he knew what he was doing so he wasn't a newbie by any means. He had a decent reaction time, but I was a little disappointed in the 1/4 mile time. High 13's with a decent launch and low 14's with some spin. I just thought they were a little better than that. Oh, and it was an auto. I don't know if they can come with a manual with the 6.1L. Anyways, nice car, too heavy and the solid live axle with leaf springs I think is a little dated.

lol....they usually run low 13s stock...maybe he couldnt drive or the car wasnt broken in yet?

My friends bolt on charger r/t ran mid 13s...I did 13.35 in it.

Anyways, with headers, cam, bolt ons, those cars run solid 12s

Theyre all auto 5 speeds.

then again, I pulled on one from a roll really hard with my low 14 second npi

Its a dodge so you never know what your gonna get
