Well im looking it to cams now.

my set up is as follows

Pulleys
CAI
70 MM TB
1.7 RRs
9MM Plug Wires
Crane Fireball ignition
O/R x pipe
Flowmaster 40 series cat back exhaust
3.73 gears in the rear
FRPP fuel pressure regulator
Holley 190LPH in tank fuel pump.

im gonna upgrade the intake manifold as well but i just want some cam ideas for the moment. also my car is on nitrous.

e303?
f303?
b303?
tfs stage 1 or 2?

With any of those cams you should probably upgrade the valve springs in the cylinder heads or you'll get valve float around 5000+ rpm. If you're not getting cylinder heads take the F303 and the Trickflow Stage 2 off your list .....the rpm range is too high for stock heads. The Trickflow Stage 1 or Ford Racing E303 would probably be your best bet. Also, don't expect huge gains from the cam because they're designed to be used with aftermarket cylinder heads to get the full benefits.

id figure out what heads and intake combo to go with first and try to match the rpm ranges...trust me, save your time and money and just do it all at once...get heads, cam, and intake all at once.

You really should do heads with the cam or you will probably be disappointed, but I like the TFS stage 1, my brother and a friend have it and it performs and sounds great but is not e-legal. The B303 is a good cam powerwise with s mean sounding idle but is not e-legal and is single profile and single duration (Ford also says B cam has about 5 more HP than the e cam b\c of the greater lift at 1\2 and duration), the E303 is emissions-legal, has a nice little idle and decent power. With your 1.7 RRs the lift is higher on all of the cams, the B cam will be about .510\.510, the e cam will be .528\.528 and the TFS 1 will be about .529\.540 I think. Be sure to chekc P\V clearance. The biggest question is do you need to say e-lega, and where do you want to go with the car? Daily driver, street\strip, strip?

Well...im on a budget. So i gusse that i would want a cheap set up heads/cam that would get me good/decent gain for not a but load of money.

but now you guys bring up matching rpms ranges ect....i think i understand what you mean but not fully.

What would be a good set of heads for the ECAM of TFS 1?

would GT40 heads be a good idea?

Sure, any of the GT-40 heads would work: Iron - GT-40, GT-40P Aluminum - GT-40Y, GT-40X.

If you decide to keep the stock heads and get a manifold the STOCK cam will still be your best choice.

Match the cam to the combo, save and get a good cylinder head that will support ALL of your future needs.
