Not true. Take a GM vehicle with Dex-Cool from the factory, go the recommended 100,000 miles before changing it, & it'll look like pudding in your radiator, assuming you haven't already had to replace your water pump because the vanes were eaten away to nothing. From a maintenance standpoint, stay on top of your coolant system condition & don't waste the money on the long life crap.

P.S.: But I do agree you should stay on top of your cooling status and not worry so much about how many miles you can get out of your antifreeze, because if your anything like me and upgrade performance parts more often than your underwear, then your probably constantly adding to your cooling system anyway.
