What do stock 99-04 GT's dyno on a Dynojet.

SAE or STD, what did you get.

No posts with I only had X done...stock, as it came from the dealer brand new.

I have seen dozens upon dozens of 99-04 GT's dyno...I have seen as low as 210 rwhp (auto) to as high as (227 rwhp) manual.

There is a local guy claiming his car made 251 rwhp, 291 rwtq stock. I do not want to call the guy a liar and I know all about freaks, but that is way off base from what I have seen.

The owner of the mustang shop that I go to around here dyno'd his own personal new edge mustang GT with 5sp. 100% stock and told me first hand that it was 224rwhp, and has seen many new edges that dyno plus or minus a few hp.

251rwhp would = around 288hp at the engine. I know I wouldn't believe it. 227rwhp = 261hp at the engine so that would be were I would expect most to dyno at.

actually 251 would mean 295 at the crank since it's 251/.85 (for 15% drivetrain loss). The guy with stage 1 cams and an auto and some bolt ons put out 251rwhp here - some im thinking that's off, lol

I think it would be pretty safe to call him a liar. no way, there's no such thing as factory freaks imho. either the dyno was a pos and not calibrated, or he's just an effin liar. I've seen a ton of totally stock gt's 5 spds and they are always b/w 220-230rwhp

now ur making me feel bad lol. well ill defend myself by saying i had an exhaust leak which i did at the time lol.

but i think to correct for sae you need to have the conditions at the time of dyno like temp and all. i could be wrong though.

Keep in mind you kept cat's on when you put the Xpipe on your car. And 7hp isn't that far off. That leaves a lot of room for things like different oil, condition of the spark plugs or gap, weight of the rims and tires as I doubt we had the same ones when our cars were on the dyno, ect.

I am told that most dyno's will calibrate for altitude, humidity, and temp. I have also heard from people in my area that the good dynojets get about the same numbers as the Mustang dyno's we have in our area.

Diablo, Catted ProChamber, Weld-in Flowmaster 40s, Steeda Underdrive pullies, K&N and CDC Shaker it put down 251/290

Swapped in the KarKraft Shaker, C&L Pipe, and BBK Shorties
and it's 265/306

I need to hit the dyno again because I fixed a few exhaust leaks and retuned.

If its 35*s outside and the dyno gragh was uncorrected...I can see it happening. Tell the guy to go back and get his numbers converted to SAE like the rest of us use and see what happens. He doesnt have to dyno again....just pull the file and convert.
I assure you that its not REALLY making that much....not a chance.
