Twisted Wedge heads, trick flow stage 2 cam, pro-magnum roller rockers, either rpm2 or holley systemax although ive heard you cant use the holley on a stock hood, is this true? but anyway, id just like to get a few comments about this setup before i scoop it up. i already have a tweecer by the way.

I'd change the cam to a custom to really take advantage of what that TW/holley combo can do. Do longtubes, 410+ gear, 75 tb, 30lb injectors. This combo WILL run hard if you set it up right.

You'll be swapping valve springs too on those TW heads.

Shift it a little higher too, you should be able to bump the rev limiter with the tweecer. You'll be happy if you follow the suggestions I mentioned

besides getting a custom cam are there any other cams that would go good with this set up

What size motor are these parts going on?

The Holley does clear the stock hood. I was suprised as well.

I'm sure there are plenty of cams that will work but the problem is w/o knowing much about cam selection you're just guessing. Better off paying an extra $50-$100 and take out all the guess work.

You have a lot of potential with those heads and a holley manifold but the wrong cam will make it a turd!

they are just going on the stock 302. where do you suggest i go to get a custom cam. and how does the process of getting a custom cam made happen? do i just tell them my heads and manifold and they just whip me up one, and its that easy?

You tell them your entire combo, goals, weight, stick or auto, rpm range ect. The mre info you give, the better your cam will be. Don't forget valve springs!

With those heads and that manifold, you have a ton of potential if you're willing to spin it a little higher like 6500 ish.

Mike makes a good point...If in your shoes I'd go custom and pay the price....might as well maximize the combo, especially since you have the tweecer up front...

I talked to anderson ford motorsports and they suggested the N41. He called it a custom cam yet they are already made, i dunno. But anyway he said it would be good for that intake and those heads, and that the holley wasnt too much intake for that setup. the cam costs $279 which is pretty high, but do yall think it will be worth it?

The AFM n41 is a pretty decent cam and will clear the stock pistons. You should always check though. You will need valve springs. My friend has the n41 is his TW/carb combo and it runs VERY good. Custom will be better depending on your goals but you'll run hard with the n41.

If I had it to do all over again
and
Since I now know what I can do with the Tweecer for drivability

I'd tell my cam guy to go with specs that are to the point of just barely passing emissions inspection

My car passes emissions testing in Texas with flying colors and behaves like a stocker for drivability

I left power on the table and there is no doubt about it

I did not know how effective at self tuning I could be

Just a heads up for you about what I found from my experience
