What happens if i cut holes in Mufflers?

This will get you the sound you are looking for.
The Electric Supercharger will get more air down your exhaust pipes.
At full throttle, the e-RAM automatically activates to produce 1 psi additional air-pressure to the engine intake. This additional air-pressure results in greater air density reaching the engine. The mild level of boost from the e-RAM is measured by the engine management sensors, and the car's computer (ECU) increases the delivery of fuel to keep the air-fuel ratio at optimum levels.

I think the thread starter is mentioning my modification to the mufflers, but then modifying that. For anyone who is totally confused now, please click the link in my signature to see the complete write up.

To go into further detail of my mod, you see flowmaster (and most every muffler made) has a rear chamber that shares a "common" so the exhaust pipe can be exited either on the right or left side depending on your application.
After years of messing with all types of exhaust setups on these cars, I stumbled across this sound as I was experimenting. The main purpose of this modification is to experience the "dumps" effect while still retaining your exhaust tail pipes. You can simply put in the caps and pass inspection, quiet down for complaining neighbors or just want to hear your radio

I think the thread starter is confused as if you cut these holes and routed a pipe into the existing exhaust pies then you have completely defeated the purpose and are exiting the exhaust back into your pipes

Also, you do not just "cut holes" and walk away.
You have a hole saw or cutting torch make the holes and then prep the surface, weld in the threaded bungs and paint them with high temp paint.

Cutting holes and nothing more, would net you into the ricer catagory for sure.
My main purpose for this modification was to be able to hear my exhaust in two different ways without cutting and welding to achieve it.

I have also had a discussion with someone on here about the Warlock mufflers or the F body type cutouts.

Warlock mufflers and cutouts "bypass" the mufflers all together so you get a sound that was described above as ASS

Just kind of a random thought. i have seen this with oil barrel caps and threads, so you can screw the cap on to make it quieter. Another thought i had was to just weld a piece of pipe from the hole into my tailpipes. I don't know how many chambers my mufflers are, but they are WAY too quiet for having full exhaust (with LT's and xpipe). and i am just looking to see if there is a way to avoid spending $300 for some flow 40's... Would this just sound like crap? I would be able to do all the welding and get piping for free.... maybe take me 15 min.... Bad idea?

you can get 40 series flows from jegs for 65 dollars a piece

Holes in the mufflers? Probably sound like doodoo. As far as the cardboard turbo, get it damp before you go to the track, it will help cool the air and give you about another 20 HP.
