It wont do crap. One of the nerds on here crunched the numbers once and it was the same effect as someone blowing in your ear to try and make you fart harder.

In fact, I think it could hinder things - remember that there's 20" hg of vac in the inlet as it is. And at WOT (no manifold vac) the engine is ingesting so much air, the A.I.R. pump wont be able to contribute.

You could always rig a leaf blower to the T/B and make some "Serious" boost.

Gotta use duct tape for that. And some bailing wire. And a piece of string to attach to the throttle of the car. Don't wanna be makin boost at idle.

The smog pump puts air into the exhaust for the first 2 minutes or so after startup. After that , it runs air through the cylinder heads. IIRC, I don't think it ever shuts off, it runs all the time, the computer only has control of which tract the air travels through.

I bet you couldn't even get 1psi of boost out of it.

There is a ricer in town with a leaf blower sticking out of his hood! I hope its running of a power inverter, otherwise, it would be pain for him to have to jump out as stop lights and try to start the thing
