My wife's dad said he found a 1996 Lincoln Mark VII with this engine in it. (I personally thought the Mark VIII with a 4.6 was out by then but that's besides the point) He's trying to find me an engine for a swap out on my stang. The only thing is that on the top of the manifold it says "5.0 H.O. M". The "M" was in caps but was in a smaller print. He doesn't know what the M means and if it will make a difference. Only thing I can think of is maybe it was a police interceptor engine with bigger injectors or something. Can anybody help me??? Thanks!

If it's a 1996, it's a Lincoln Mark 8 and has a 4.6L DOHC motor in it.

If it's a Mark 7, it either has a 5.0 or a 5.0 HO. The HO is the same as the Mustang HO. There is no other motor...police or anything.

5.0 HO is as good as it gets aside from Cobra.

:spot: What is the difference beteen the 5.0 H.O, and the Cobra motor?

Gt-40 iron heads
Cobra intake
65mm TB
24# injectors
larger MAF
cam
computer
1.7 rr's
slight pulley differences
black stamped valve covers

only came in 93-95 Cobras
