well i ordered a bbk non catted h pipe, but they sent me the wrong order and i have to take it back, but while lookin at the h pipe they sent me it looked horribly made. the cross pipe was poorly welded and the cuts on the pipe for air flow between the pipe were poorly done and were not exact. kinda made half assed. so we put my friend h pipe off his cobra on my car. his h pipe has 2 high flow cats. and i like that sound. what would be a good brand to go with. are all bbk pipes made like **** or did i get a bad one ? (btw they sent me a mid h pipe non catted for a 86-93 5.0)

so any advice on what i should go with would be helpful. i heard that x pip gives better performance ? my friends h pipe was MAC but i cant find one witht he same desinge he had cuz they all have some square box in themiddle ? thanks again sorry for the long ass post.

your friends mid pipe with the so called (box in the middle) is actually from what i have gathered the best peformance wise and sound wise (much DEEPer) , its called the PROchamber from Mac, and they make them for your application but it cost a little more than the off road H and Xs, it goes for about $230 +/- for the non catted version...... goto mustangexhaust.com...listen to the mac prochamber with flopath mufflers...IMO it is the sweetest sounding...

it's not exactly true that x pipes or prochambers of h pipes give more power over the other.. they just add more power at different spots. if you want a lot of down low power go h, if you want it up high go x.

Just pick whatever mid-pipe you like the best sound wise. Performance wise you wont be able to tell the difference between any of them because the difference is so small. True H-pipe you will see a bit more gains down low and not as much up top as the X-pipe and vice versa but the difference is so minimal it really doesnt matter. IDK about the BBK but my MAC O/R H-pipe has been awesome. As far as the prochamber goes it might be a little deeper than the O/R H-pipe but the O/R H-pipe is quite a bit louder and still delivers a nice deep tone especially when paired with chambered mufflers.

go to www.mustangtuning.com and get the MustangTuning o/r x-pipe. sounds awesome with flows and i noticed a much more pull in 5th, plus it only costs $164.00(+/-) i think its better than paying 220+ for a name brand like bbk or mac, and like they said, the difference in performance isnt noticable...

220+??? I got my MAC O/R H-pipe for $150 and BBK should cost right around the same, as with almost every other O/R pipe. Prochambers are a bit more.
