What needs to be done to my 5.0 to keep up with 11 5.0's

The new 2011s are fast cars and respond well to mods. The right HCI, with some traction and driving in a fox should run with a stock or bolt on 2011, in my opinion.

I will be taking a look at them when I start to see them at the drag strip.

By the way, my brothers GT40P headed, cammed, Cobra intake car has been 11.7 @ 114+. It is set up more for drag racing than anything, but is a street car and even gets tooled around in the winter months.

I believe you. It will take h/c/i and a power adder to beat these 11 GT's. Go ahead if you want and try one h/c/i foxbody. 9 times out of 10 you'll get your sorry arses handed to you.

I think you're insane if you think hci will keep up with an 2011 GT. It's going to take more than that to keep from embarrasing yourself at stoplights with a 2011 GT. Hell, it'll take more than that to keep up with a 2011 SS Camaro.

Have you read any of this thread? There are guys out there running high 12s without even pulling a valve cover on their pushrod 5.0s. Other guys running low 12s and even 11s with "junk" iron GT40 head Foxes. If you know what you're doing, you could definitely walk an '11 with a good H/C/I.

I'll get one because i want one and i can afford to. Most get foxbodies because they are cheap and plentiful. I prefer to be different than the millions of foxbody mustangs which is why i drive a 03 lightning and i'm about to purchase an 11 GT. Foxbodies were cool back in the day, but i prefer a NEW car with the best technology ever seen in a mustang. Keep on keeping on in your foxbody dude, i like them but would never own one....maybe

Lets try to stay on topic here. All you need is a stroker, hci combo. Most people arent that great driver so with that being said I put down 348rwhp on a mustang dyno. My buddy put down basically 20 more HP than me. On average I win by about 3-4 car lengths but when we hit 4th I really don't pull anymore and he doesn't gain
