Was thinking about doing the drivetrain next. Aluminum driveshaft and 3.73s. Don't wanna do anything to the engine because the car is getting a 351 stroker eventually. Unless of course it will trade out into a 351W. Thanks in advance!

The gears would be a good idea, and would really wake your car up

GEARS do the Aluminum driveshaft but it won't help you performance very much.

On the 351 I want to bore and stroke it out as far as the block will allow? Is a 427 fesable or can you get more out of the block? It's gonna stay a street legal performance engine or is that too much to be asking out of an engine that size? I want a nice beefy NA engine first before I even think about going to a power adder. I'm really trying to think ahead here. The idea I have in mind for my car is do mods that are going to support the next stage while being in themself a gain for what's been done thus far- i.e. cooling system, ignition, drivetrain, and suspension upgrades in prep to support the 351 with it's air and fuel demands. The 351 will be built as a nice stand alone NA engine but keeping in mind parts used need to be able to support upgraded H/C/I and an eventual power adder. Get my drift or am I rambling uncompitently here? Thanks.

This was what someone said on Corral.net:

Anaconda said:
I wouldn't go above a 408, but that's just me. You can do a high-compression setup, and then eventually add nitrous. It would be kinda goofy to make a 408 with like 8.5:1 compression with the "hopes" of adding a blower later. Just make it like 10 or more to 1 compression to begin with, so it is strong from the start. Then you can always add a nice fogger system later on, and run race gas when spraying.

Any other input?

A streetable 427 is going to be tough think of the fuel(octane/amount) you would need to run that thing. I would try out a 351 stroked to a 393 10:1 compression ratio AFR 205, custom cam, eddy brock rpm2 ro better.

Gears, definitely. Even my 3.55's were a huge benefit over the stock 2.73's. I got my gears to accomodate many miles on the interstate.

What about subframe connectors? Didn't see them on your list. If you don't have them, get them cause they are cheap and will add stiffness. With my subs and suspension stuff, my car no longer makes a single squeak. Subs are cheap, too.
