Less than 300rwhp will put you into the 12's.

There was a guy on another forum that ran a 12.1 with 305 rwhp and no drag suspension.

they make 220,actually 215 at the flywheel man,he is getting it dynoed so we are talking rear wheel horsepower here.also he ported the heads himself and if i read correctly they are npi?? nobody knows for sure how well he can posrt a set of heads also so its 50/50.its very easy to take away from a head while porting something that in fact really is there for a reason.lot of factors here.

98gt's make 225 at the crank stock, right now i make 225 at the wheels, with just bolt ons, pi intake & pi cams, stock tune rich as hell, right now the car still has the stock 65mm T/B & plenium 75mm T/B & C&L plenuim on the way

EDIT: they guy that dyno'ed my car said he could get another 10-15 rwhp out of it, by leaning it out

yeah there ported NPI's, so im hoping that they will flow abotu as good as a pi head,or a little better, and it will have about the same compression as a pi swaped car....

Ported npi heads flow better than ported pi heads, if they were done right.

That's only in certain ranges of the lift schedule, and that's which machining the combustion chambers, often CNC'd. And port matching.

How many time are you going to continue to post this Bull ****?

At the time I got my P&P NPI heads, they outflowed just about every P&P PI head on the market on the intake flow. The only PI head that flowed more on the intake side was MPH Stg 2.5 heads and my NPI's were within 1 - 2 CFM of those while keeping the swirl dams. That was from 0.050 lift to .650 lift, which is every part of the lift range.

Properly done, P&P NPI's will outflow P&P PI's at every lift range on the intake side. That is a fact.

STFU TGJ, stop riding my sack every time i post something you turn your nose up to. That's the first time I've posted that, if you can count that high. I'm usually the one defending ported NPI's flow numbers. I was comparing his hand ported set which doesn't even address the cumbustion chambers to CNC ported PI heads available for certain companies. I know for a fact as well the NPI ported heads can flow better, my friend Emerson who owns lastcallracing's heads were hand prted by Totoal performance of SD and they benflowed better than ported PI heads. But i've yet to see a set of heads you can buy retail that are ported NPI's flowing better than most of the best ported PI's - so unless everyone who's porting NPI's everywhere are matching the same process as the handful i've seen that outflow ported PI's then i don't know what we're arguing over. If your NPI's flow better than PI's then that's fine, post up a flow test. otherwise we have no idea since no company sells them, which might be because they are half thread.

You should hit mid 13's easy after it's all said and done.

Depending on what you end up trapping, you may have the potential for a high 12 run. It's all about what you are willing to do to get there.

The guy that ran the low 12 had cams but no ported heads, longtubes and the rest of the bolt ons on a stock PI 4.6. His car is lowered so that was not in his favor, but he pulled the seats I beleive to shed a little weight. Launched hard on drag radials and whala... ran a 12.01.

If you don't mind the chance of breaking something, go for it... lol. You just have to drive like your feet are on fire and there is a rapist cheeta trying to chase you down to get the most of your combo.

I'm comparing his home ported only intake NPI heads to P&P PI heads. Can't say i've ever posted that before. I was trying to say (minus typo) that that's what machining and port matching, and often cnc'ing, is for - to make it flow better across all lifts not just peak where the intake/exhaust ports are maxed in stock form, but rather direct air more effciently.
Some companies like MMR and Foxlake recomend not using NPI heads to start with - some have better luck with them in flowing. I'd rather a companies just post up real flow charts similar to in that thread you linked.
And traditionally P&P PI heads have flowed better, me finding the exception to the rule like Emerson's heads or yours make good cases to say "these heads flow better than PI heads" but not NPI heads in general. If i found two used sets and the guy didn't know who did the work i'd stay with PI's. Unless it's a NPI shortblock and you want boost in the future (an important note to consider).
So Renegade's P&P PI heads flow less and P&P NPI's?

Renegade's P&P PI heads flow less on the intake side compared to his P&P NPI heads. His P&P PI heads flow more than the exhaust side. Every set of P&P NPI head that Renegade has out there at the time outflowed P&P PI heads with the exception of MPH Stage 2.5's. I know of at least 5 other cars with P&P NPI heads from Renegade.

I wouldn't buy a used set of P&P heads if I didn't know who did the work period.
