Hello everyone. I need to get some better tires for my car. I have no traction at all. I want to get some that will fit on my stock rims and hook up good at the strip but last a while, because it is a DD street car. Also will probley only be getting two for the back. What do you guys suggest?

Some brand tires are made narrower than others, I notcied a fair difference in traction from going from 245's to 275's on an 8" wheel, and it fit fine without buldging. I think Nitto 555's should do you well for DRY traction and DD duty. Not so good in the rain, but neither are my Sumitomo's and I drive mine every day.

for the money, i like my sumitomos. 275s seem to hook up pretty decent. not sure how they are in rain

bump for sumitomo's.... $105 for each for my 315's and they really are not a bad tire. I've had no problems with them in dry or wet.

I like my BFG Gforce Sports. Really good dry and not too bad in the wet stuff. Got them from tirerack.com.

16's or 17's?

i've ordered 3 sets of tires from tirerack.com and had great experience every time. i would highly reccommend them.

if they are factory 17's, i would suggest a 255/45/ all the way around. maybe a 255/40 if u like the shorter side wall look.

the sumitomo htr z summer tire is what i have. im thinkin they are under $80 a tire or there abouts?
