I was looking into either getting the 351 W D0Oe heads or the gt40, gt40p heads but my brother said he had to buy different/expensive headers to fit his gt40's because of the different sparkplug location. Is this the same for the 351W or can I use my tri-ys on the 351's? What about the Edelbrock performer heads? I just got my tri-ys for xmas and don't want to buy different headers. Sorry if this has been asked before but the search function on here isn't the greatest. Thanks.

GT-40Ps are the only one with a different plug location. Regular GT-40s and D0OEs are fine as are most all aftermarket heads(as long as they dont have giant exhaust ports).

In some cases the taller deck height on the 351 will cause 302 headers to 'snug up' against the bottom of the car (at the collector)..which could cause heat damage or fire (if you have undercoating). Measure to be sure you are ok!
