Whats a good power source nearby the passenger side kick panel?

Right now, I have my wideband, fuel pressure/boost gauges, radar detector, white face guages and probably more all wired to a fuse in my fusebox. Its pretty ghetto, the power wire is jammed up in there but it works. I bought a fuse block from Advance, and now I want to do it right. Where should I get the power from under there? It needs to be an source thats turns on when ignition is on.

how about tapping into the cigarette lighter under the radio and running the wire behind the glove compartment? or the light for the glove compartment?

i did not know that the lighter and glove compartment wires were always hot. that's good info to know.

Yeah, I learned the hard way. My wideband used to be wired to that and I had to pull my shifter bezel out and unplug it everytime i parked the car.

what about the ignition wire.

so use a relay with it. hook the new fuse block to the "normally closed" circuit (using the lighter) and T off the power supply for the radio for the coil.

Pull out your heating/ac controls, take out the screws then splice into the back of one of the 12v ignition powered wires that go to them. Simple and clean.

that works too but is it fused, and if so, what is the amperage of the fuse and will it blow if you have it all going at the same time?

humm my tach is wired in there and I havent had a problem. but ya what he wants is gonna be a pretty big draw, never thought of that.
