Whats the best method of blowing up our cars?

A dyno would do a couple of things for you, but the main things would be getting A/F right and getting your torque/power curve. If your over revving the engine much past it's power curve that will kill et/mph some.

I dont think I'm over revving my engine because I tried different shift points and ~6000rpm turned my best runs. Yes I do need new injectors, but with the stock ones and a higher FP, it shouldnt be that far behind some 24's on the stock pressure should it? I was also told by a guy at the track that the cam I have is no good  Said its not enough

i with joe also, i think its running rich. back the FP down. i think bigger injectors would do a world of difference. in your sig you have a 255 pump but your running only 19# injectors. there's a big bottle neck, and then your just forcing the fuel with you FP at 50. it just over kill for your injectors. i'm surpised also, that fuel isn't just pissing out of your tails pipes.

He's trying to raise his fp to make up for the smaller injectors. It works, I would back it down to lower 40's and see what happens there. Just try some different stuff. I dont sound how it could be running very rich with 19's and 50psi but maybe a little. I dont think your cam is too small. Better too small than too big

OK, heres a new one for ya. Drive the car down the road, set the cruise control, then place the car up in Neutral. The engine will go and go and go. The thing trys to reach the higher speed by pulling the throttle plate open trying to increase the speed. She will blow. Are Dodge actually has a defeat on the gear lever to turn the cruise off. I figured the Mustang did to. NOPE. I caught it before she hit 6000 but man it wouldnt take much more.

Like I said before, the cam is "small" if you are looking for an all out drag cam. IMO, it is a relatively big cam for a street car. 221/225 degrees of duration @0.050" lift is not something to turn your nose up at. The lift figures of the cam are a tad small, but those are more than compensated for by the increase in duration.

Remember, 95% of the people in this world don't know what they are talking about. That guy probably saw the lift figures and thought to himself "man, that's small." Most people judge a cam from it's lift figures, which is the worst, most inaccurate way to judge it.

On Summit, it said that the cam is only good from 2000 RPM-5500 RPM. There is a chance that you could be over revving the car, you could be floating the valves, or the cam could be advanced and you don't know it. My guess would be that your over revving the car, if you said it's sluggish up top, but since you said that your best runs were made when shifting at 6k, I don't know what to tell you. Even if you don't get a dyno tune, I would pay for a couple of pulls on the dyno so you can find out where/what's up with the power band. I think it costs something like 60 bucks for a half hour and it may even be cheaper.
