Stock tachs are not accurate.VividDreams said:i dunno about anyone else, but as noted above my rev limiter is somewhere between 6000 and 6200...however, when im doing a burnout, it goes all the way up to 7K!!! anyone know why it allows this?
The question is....why in gods name are you doing 7000rpm burn outs? Try doing them in second gear instead.VividDreams said:i dunno about anyone else, but as noted above my rev limiter is somewhere between 6000 and 6200...however, when im doing a burnout, it goes all the way up to 7K!!! anyone know why it allows this?
Ford is known for using heavy needles to make the stock tachs appear smoother. You can also usually see a good bit of difference between datalogged rpm and the what the tach reads. I have seen mine off as much as 500rpm.christiesledd said:?????????????????
