what are you asking? if those tires will fit those wheels? i think those wheels would be 17's

I am looking for a slightly taller tire than the 245 45 17

245/50/17 would be taller. remember. the first nubers are the width of tread in millimetres. the second set is the aspect ratio measured in a percentage of the height of the side wall compared to the treadwidth. and the last is the rim diameter. so a higher 2nd set will have a taller sidewall.

Why do you want a taller tire? It would look bad and throw off your speedo and i dont know if you can find a 245/55-60/17 performance tire

245/50/17 has some options at tirerack. there are some pirelli offerings as well as michelin. personally i woudl use the michelin, btu thats me.

well you of course know that.
1. taller tire will reduce the effect of the deeper gear.
2. you could always lower car.
3. yeap speed cal's are great.

Oh and too everyone else I've seen some taller sidewall tires on the back of an 04 orange stang and it looked GOOD, gave it a real muscle car look.
