I own a 1995 Cobra Convertable.
So each time I touch something on my Cobra I wonder, am I not keeping true to it being a 'Cobra'?
Mostly this has been to my body kits. I've installed the Stalker side skirts+side scoops and a Stalker rear bumper. My hood is a heat extractor hood from Cervinis. I've yet to decide what I want for a front bumper. Also I switched out my 95 tail lights for the 98 style, my first Mustang was a 98 v6 and I fell in love with the tail lights. I had to put 5.0 badges on my car below the snakes since everyone kept thinking it was the 4.6! I'll upload some photos soon.
I love the look of my car, and under the style it's still a Cobra, so I don't feel wrong with my badges yet.
I mostly bought the Cobra over the GT becuase it was 'already modded pretty good', I figured it was a good start and would be most of the stuff I'd do to a GT anyway. I never thought back then about the Cobra 'click' so to say.
So what's going to far, if i haven't already? I haven't done much to the engine yet (exaust and gears mostly), but how far into upgrading the engine is going out of the Cobra line? When does to many mods make you no longer a Cobra?
Anyway, just bored and thought I'd post these questions. I always found it kind of funny how Cobra owners get upset about GT's putting on Cobra badges, but I've never heard any thoughts on what Cobra owners thought about a Cobra, not being a Cobra.
Once we replace all our Cobra parts, it isn't much more then a modded GT anymore.
