When should torque box reinforcement be needed? Is it really needed for a car that is mostly street driven, with occasional drag strip(on street radials) and autocross, use?

I'm getting ready to weld in my subframe connectors, and figured I'd do some reinforcing of the torque boxes while I'm there. If its needed. Mods are in sig. :flag:

Anytime you own a Mustang. hehe

If you done anything to add power then they're even more important. Lets not forget that the newest Fox is 12 years old.

anyone running any kind of performance gear and who likes to thrash the go pedal more often than most would probably benefit from it-whenever you're getting the sub's put in, have them at least run a full bead over the lap joints on your torq boxes, and your upper mount boxes (they're only spot welded every couple inches from the factory)

CE makes a set of torq box reinforcement plates available from either summit or jegs for $30-$35...might be worth investing in a set
