i've had my electronic water temp and mechanical oil press gauges sittin in my center console for a while..i read thru the instructions but they arent much help..anyone wanna help me install 'em with some directions or pics?

), I put the nylon tube into a length of vacuum line to protect it in the engine compartment, from chaffing, keeps it from trying to recoil itself, and hides the line. Depending on how long the nylon tubing is, you may have to drill a hole in the firewall to run it through, if you have an automatic you can use the grommet about the throttle cable. Once you've routed the line, trim the line on the gauge side and install the brass fitting on the line then the crush fitting, attach it to the gauge. Run your lighting wires, re-install the filter, fire it up and check for leaks, before you install the pod. If you don't you could end up with oil in the passenger compartment or all over the engine compartment if you wanted to retain your stock temp gauge in the dash you can buy a cheap autozone water neck for $10 (comes tapped for aftermarket sender) then you just run your wire to it_MATiC said:yeah they did..but the mechanical gauges are pretty fn complicated to read! ooh btw: where is the water temp sender unit located?

_MATiC said:thanks alot guys..i got the water temp gauge in and my car is running hot..it reads at 210 degrees, when i have a new radiator, new 180 t-stat, new water pump..maybe i need some oil or fix this stupid timing?![]()
_MATiC said:so the fact that my car is running that hot is normal? and yeah it was with the AC off..should i go w. a 160* tstat since it's that hot?
