iam running a 91 5.0.i plan on upgrading to afr 165 heads,65mm tb,elderbrock performer intake or trick flow.car is a 5 speed with 373 in the rear.i currently have a b303 cam,i want to switch to something with more down low torque but still pull to about 5800.any suggestions would be great.

If you want decent power down low, the stock cam is perfectly fine, but you may want to get a set of 1.7 rockers just for good measure

best bet would probably be to contact buddy rawls, or perhaps ed curtis, and talk to them about a custom cam. they usually go for about 300, so only 100 bucks more than an off-the-shelf and it will be exactly the way you want it

Ed Curtis, Buddy Rawls, Jay Allen. Comp Cams also does custom camshafts. I'd much rather spend an extra $100 to know I wasn't leaving any power on the table. I'm pretty sure they'd let you know if another off-the-shelf cam was very similar to optimum specs for your combo, also.
