i figure the 351 was 8.5 or so, and im trying to figure out what it would be with my current gt40(non-P) heads that have been milled .030. its such a clean low mile short block i dont want to have to swap pistons to get to the 9.5 or so i'd like to have...i just want to figure out what it would be

You should be able to have the shop that mills them check the final cc of the bowls...that'll get you a step further and at least you'll know what your heads are when you figure out what the short block is.

The E7 has a 62-65cc chamber with 1.78/1.46 valves.
The 1996 GT-40 has 63-66cc chamber with 1.84/1.54 valves.
