I have a 2000 Premuim GT and am looking for a seat upgrade, but want to keep stock styled (or color) leather. Can I get a Recaro (spelling?;-) in a correct color leather? I have sat in them and they do have good comfort. Looking at 03 Cobra seats too, but are they much better then my GT's? They are pricey as well. I have a 05 SRT-4 as my daily driver with Viper Spec seats (fun and hauls ass), after driving it all week my Stang seats feel like *****. I know Soft Trim used to make a kit with the Ford Racing logo, but I don't see them on their site anymore?? Any experience would be appreciated.....remember I want to stay with the charcole leather..thanks.

I have done a lot of research on seats and found price to value going to the Corbeau seats. Recaro definately make great seats, but are double what you would pay for a good set of Corbeau and the comfort isn't much different. Take a look at them. I am going to order a set myself..

+1 on the corbeaus. The recaros are nice and the cobras just look fantastic but both are rather pricey.

I went with the Mach seats both because there the most comfortable seat Ford makes for the Mustang, but also because it allows you to keep the adjustable drivers seat platform.

I like the looks of the Cobra seats and they have all the adjustable hardware, but I wonder on the comfort. They go for as much as $2000.00 for front and backs. I could buy some recaro's or a good aftermarket seat for that price. The only thing I wonder is getting them covered in charcole leather. I'll check out the Corbeau's, have a link? I know Catskin (SP?) make custom leather for many makes of seats.

Where can you buy the Mach seats?
Just go to the Ford parts counter?

When i was talking about Cobra's i meant the aftermarket company. I should have specified. Check out their seats.

Nope, the only way to get them is to find someone parting out a wrecked Mach or that's putting in racing seats. That's how I got mine I found a guy over at the Mach I registry classifieds that was turning his Mach into a track car, front seats cost me $600. There are usually a couple sets for sale over there. You just have to keep looking. Here's a link.

i think either jegs or summit has their own brand of seats that are really comfortable and cost effective... I've had friends who put them in older project cars with good results.

Not to sound bias or anything...but the bullitt seats are quite comfortable...they hold me in pretty nicely, and not too stiff. Interesting stitch pattern as well, they are vertical, and they only come in dark charcoal, so that's a plus if that's what you wanted to cover them in anyway...just a thought. I dunno where you could get them other than from a wrecked one or the ford dealership, which would probably be quite expensive.

No you don't sound biased, just your honest opinion, I can appreciate that. You bring up some good points thanks. Although, as you stated, Bullitt seats would be hard to come by. Thanks.

I saw some Roush seats on ebay that had the luxo look to them, and a full size headrest. Possible option for ya. They were black with the red strip on the upper half.

u can buy cheapet aftermarket seat from like APC in color noone wants(like hot pink or something) for cheap(@ around 150/seat). And have your local auto uphoster recover it with real leather that match perfectly with yoyur interior with nice pony stich on it like that on OEM seat( prolly around $200~$300/seat). Would be still cheaper then buying something like Sparco(@ around $750/seat last time I checked)..

At least thats what I'm planing
