Whats up guys ? I was talking to a dealer for the pro-m 80mm mafs from coolblueperformance over on the corral. He's selling the 80mm for $249 shipped. How is that?

Anyway, he said that the meter can not be used with cold air intakes? Whats up with that? Is it too big? Cant i just run a reducer from the maf to the cai tubing? Also do i have to enlarge the hole in the passenger fender to fit it in there?

He surprised me with that statement above, i have never heard of that.

i have one i got mine when AFM had them on sale for 199. I would try to use a 3in rubber pvc pipe connector to connect to the cai.

I think he's talking about MAC/BBK CAI's where the MAF is "built-into" the CAI. That price is pretty much as good as you're going to do right now. I got the same sale Nick did. I'm using a 4" CAI setup, pic in my sig.

I didn't know they were built in like that. Thats for the heads up. I have homemade CAI now but when i do my h/c/i upgrade i will have the Holley intake that is shiny so i was thinking about getting one of those chrome CAI off ebay to look shiny too. Or should i just do a black one?

I've got a BBK CAi and a Pro M 80mm. What I did was remove the elbow from the CAI and put the MAF directly onto the pipe that comes from the TB. Then just fab up a little bracket to hold it in place. Worked great for me but its in the engine compartment NOT the fender. If you feel like doing it this way just tell them you have a stock airbox when ordering.

They are not built in, but more like they don't have a flange, so they are "part" of the CAI. Like a 75mm Bullet meter. Check out Anderson for a "shiny" CAI that will work with the 80mm PRO-M meter. http://andersonfordmotorsport.com/50-index

They are expensive, but really nice. But you can easily make something that would work just the same for less than 1/4 of the price. I don't think mine looks too terrible.

The thing about the Pro M 80mm is that the air has to come in the filter and STRAIGHT into the meter. NO BEND has to be between the meter and the filter like the MAc and BBK's.
