why are components so much better???

alright i've heard components are better but the only reason i can really see they are better is the seperate tweeter and the higher power rating. alot of speakers are made with crossovers and with rotating tweeters that have high power handlings too. how much better would a high quality component set than just the speakers from the same manufacturer?
