i got the rearend from a 5.0 obviously which has quad shocks, i removed the rearend with the quads still attached to the it.. There is not place to bolt them up to on a 2.3 car so i took them off.. I really cant explain it more clearer than that hehe

Yes. There is mounting points ON THE REAR END. There is NO mounting points for them on the 2.3 CHASSIS. They have to connect from the rear end to the car. There is no mounting points on the car. Only on the rear, which is why he removed them from the rear end. Because they would have just hung off the rear end because there was no where to mount them to the car.

But wait. My 88 4 cyl conversion has mounting points for quads. shrugs

I would start by just replacing the 2 shocks you do have. They are probably shot and not dampening the rearend properly. This would be the least expensive "fix" to start with. Go to better control arms next.

jStang... not making fun- but if you didn't have those "Pimp my Stang" wheels on it the spinning would be much better.

+1 for LCA's

(they won't stop you from spinning )

people run bigger slicks than my tires, so i guess its an overall problem. Also there only 2 inches bigger than stock tire size, so thats really not a big difference. It just barley started to happen recently 2, ive had the wheels for a while now. Cant really think of anything else i might of done to cause it.

I had the same problem with stock pony wheels and 245 50R dunlap 8000's. I replaced the lower control arms with megabyte jr's and now I can burn through 1st, 2nd and part way through third without any wheel hop. First thing you should do is replace the shocks with blistin or any high end shock. Then get some good lower control arms.

I ran a slick that was 2 inches taller then my DR's,it slowed me down 2-3 tenths in the 1/4.
