why why why are those damn srt-4's so fast?
my buddy has one that is pushin 24psi and we raced, he pulled maybe a car and a half from a 10mph roll till mid 4th gear.

and another friend on mine has any srt-4 with a chip and we did a 40-45mph roll and we are about even, but why are they so fast with so little mods

(both are 2004 and the first one, only has his wastegate shut all the time.)

what cheap mods can i do to beat these cars?
i have 3.55 gears now and 3.73 in the garage, but whats else

he's pushing 24psi and ur pissed he pulled on you? You're NA, dont get too mad. Tell him to race your car after you have just 8psi, you'd mop the floor with him

Well they have the same horsepower stock at the wheels and weigh less. My sons SRT4 had 200 miles on it and took it to the Dyno and it made 228 rwhp. He is now over 400 rwhp and still gets 28 mpg. It is the old Muscle Car theory. Weight kills performance.

I have a friend that has a cute little neon (good for takin mom to the store and road trips )
But he has around 420-430hp and he ran a 12.9 or something like that.. and i was thinking.. If MY car had 400hp i think i could run better than that.. lol Plus he is somewhere at 24-28psi with every known mod EVER.. lol and i flip him **** all the time with his 4 door mom magnet.. HAHA jk

Light ass cars, no insulation, etc + factory forced induction + easy to mod = fast

Nitrous.

A friend of mine has one, they're not as bad as everybody makes them out to be, I rode in his, it was pretty sporty, felt like a gokart. Problem is they're cheap and fast which means it's easy for prepubescent boys toget their hands on them.

Skittles are hilarious. 90% of the time it's some 17 year old who doesn't know how to drive. I went at it with one from a roll just after blowing my car and the high schooler nearly went sideways into my car. I haven't since taken a second look at them when they try to toy with me.

Once they start pushing over 300 they are glass. I know of several that stay broken due to the higher HP. I'd prefer a car that at least keeps going after kicking ass.

Being that my wife has a 05 SRT4 Ill give my .02, even stock the turbo comes on quite quickly in 1st and 2nd gear, the one time we raced from a dead stop she said she bogged off the line and by the time we stopped (around 60) I had her by a car length but she was starting to pull on me. So, yes they are fast but not unbeatable.
