Rear wheels, on Sn95 axles. Take your standard 5.72" BS 17x8 wheels, and how much can you add to the inside before it becomes an issue?

WHat BS/offset are you guys with 9" and 10" wide wheels on Sn95 axles running?

With my 17x8 Cobras, it seems like I have a decent amount of room. But my main concern is articulation.

Tailpipes are also a concern. I don't want to remove them

I could possibly add a small spacer and come out a tad as well

I looked into this years ago but stopped my research when the wheel widening companies only did widening by the inch, I felt like an entire inch was too much inboard and I didn't want to use a spacer.

I forgot about that little detail. Really means I'm going to be limited to adding 1".

That gets me to 6.72" BS which is about 1/4" further in that some of the combo's I've seen running 6.5" BS wheels. I really don't want to run a spacer here either, and would prefer to keep my tailpipes.

I might have to give this up as well. Guess there's a reason why you don't see many people widening SN95 wheels on the fox body

So bumping this again.

Got my new wheel/tire setup on the car and taking a look at this again.

SN95 17x8s, with 255/45/17s mounted.

Some pics of current fit.

I'd go 1" wider on the inside with the goal of getting a 275 on there. Those quads are not flipped. I feel like getting 20mm of tire in the inside is doable.

Of course, cost. $200/wheel plus a new pair of tires.

Probably after the H/C/I go on and I find I have no traction.

Right now those 255s grab pretty well, but that will change

You'll change your mind before then. I looked into having factory wheels dished. It was just too expensive compared to a set of out-the-door wheels that just bolt up.
