I'm usually in the Classic section, but I have an oportunity to get a 89 5.0 in exchange for basic rims to fit a 96 GT (nothing fancy) I have a line on a set of rims off a 02 stang and couldn't remember if the backspacings and patterns would line up between the two platforms? Thanks for your help!

Of course they would

In fact, I think my 98GT and 98 Cobra rims will fit on my 67 mustang.

Yes they do.

I have '97 Cobra rims on my '88....that goes to show you how little the Mustang changed under the sheetmetal since '79

Someone correct me if im wrong but I think the newer stang rims are 5.5in backspacing and everyone that runs the 17x8 is running 4.5 so you might need a 1 in spacer to pust the wheel out alittle.
