This is one of those immature questions to ask, but i have to ask......
I have a 1987 LX Coupe. I am doing the resto/4 cyl swap right now. I am going to go with a 425hp crate 347 stroker. The whole car has been lightened up (tubular K, no sway bar, fuel cell, no insulation/sound dedening). Going to be running a carb set up so i ditched most of the wiring. I am running a 4.30 posi in the back through a TKO 5 -speed. My question to you all.........will i pull the front end up? Thats my goal :)

I am going to say that you will pull them off the ground. You I have done everything you have but tubular K, and I pu my heater core back in. so I have heat in the winter. I have a complete drag suspension on my car and I can pull the front wheel off about an inch. My car only makes 275rwhp/315toq. So I think you'll do it

I hope that you have aftermarket axles and c-clip elims in that car. You will need both. I suggest some rear drag springs or at least an airbag on the passenger side. If you have that already, then you are set. With all the weight on the right rear of the car, you dont want to rub the tire.

its possible, but power doesnt matter, like previously stated, its your suspension that will transfer the weight and lift the wheels...but then you have to be comfortable driving your car and having to deal with it feeling like a tug boat..

Ahh yes...suspension. I am running MM tubular upper and lower control arms in the back with lakewood 50/50's, and 4 cyl springs. The front is stock 5L springs with lakewood 90/10's w/ no sway bar. Opinions on the 4cyl springs? I hear a lot of people get very good results with them.
Thanks for the input!

Really??? My friends Stock Heads/cam/intake car can pull the wheels about 6" with lots of traction.

Yes The shop I go to setup my suspension. So what ever they did makes the car squat and go. Glad it does. It takes more Enegry & time to lift the wheels off the ground. Which = lost time. I think that's right in saying that, If not someone correct me.

This is my suspension setup and wegiht removal.
Darg lanch kit,Strange Adjustable struts,Lakewood 50/50 shocks,HPMS megabytes control arms upper & lower, removed sway bar,ET streets 26/10.5/15 and, skinnies,Battery move to the rear.
(Weight Removal)
Ac system,power steering,air pump
front sway bar, radio or speakers,W/S/washer and pump, inner fender liners, fiberglass hood, sun visors, Aluminum Heads, cruise control, dog bone from rear, passanger seat front and rear seats. take spare tire & jack out at the track, No sound deading in the whole car went through every panel including the headliner, carpet, went to aluminum drive shaft, skinnies.

thats exactly right. all the power goes somewhere. its better for 90% of it to go to forward motion and naturally pull the wheels off the ground then 65% go to forward motion and the rest hook and pull the wheels

My friends stock H/C/I car also pulls the front tires (230 rwhp or so), my dads 91 LX does (285 rwhp) but mine will never come close. I have stock suspension and even on slicks the car has no weight transfer. Is all about the traction, and weight transfer more so than power.
