will these tires fit my stang

i am trying to decide what tires to run on my 85 stang i was gonna buy 275/60/15's but i dont kno if they will rub or not and i am afraid they wont be wide enough would 295/50/15 fit any help would be great on this the tires are just going on the rear if u have pics of ethier tires could u send them to me thanks jj

I ran 275/60/15s BFG Drag Radials, and they rubbed pretty bad on my 83 vert. Had to roll the fender and beat the crap out of the rear inner fender. lol. But they hooked f-in awesome. 295s... no way unless you're gunna mini tub your car.

Same here. 275s are pushing pretty hard. Had to pry the fenders to keep from cutting up the tires.

thats what i thought but wasnt sure this is what i got off of bfg's web site for the radial t/a tires so would it be better to get the 295's or would they be to wide i always thought the 295 was how tall they were so y is the 295s shorter

P275/60R15 11.0 wide on 8.0 rim 28.0 tall

P295/50R15 12.2 wide on 9.5 rim 26.7 tall

Nope... Example:

275 : millimeters wide
60: Aspect Ratio, meaning the tire is 60% of the 275 MM tall.
Other is the rim size obviously.

295s are too wide, they won't fit without major modification.

I ran 295-50-15's on my 86. they onlly rubbed when I went over a large bump in the road. Now I have 275-40-17's no rubbing at all
