Just an entry level Canon Digital Rebel XS with a Sigma 10-22mm Wide angle.

Now that I'm getting decent at this, I'm going to buy a 7D after I go back to work

Dude, those Sigma 10-20mm are awesome! I've been using a Canon 10-22mm from my school on my XSi, and it is a sick lens. It's amazing how much dynamic you can add to a pic with the wide angle. Here's 2 really cool shots I took with that lens for one of my photo classes:

I love how you get the corner of the car to look so big but the rest looks kinda small. Awesome pics man. I really need to save up for the 10-22 its going to be the next lens I buy. I'm sticking to Canon though cause thats what my camera is

After comparing both lenses, and the price difference, I think you'd be considerably happier with the sigma..

The ONLY Canon lenses that really impress me are their "L" glass, which are all well above a grand each..
